A symbol of pilgrimage, birth, and femininity, La Vieira is inspired by the countless examples of shell motifs found in Mexican architecture and the early American missions scattered throughout the Southwest. Appearing in everything from Boticelli’s Birth of Venus to the shells found along the Camino de Santiago in northern Spain, the scallop reminds us that the path to transformation and renewal is available to us all. 

Sarah is rooted in her love of the art and design of the American Southwest as well as her grandfather’s homeland in Mexico. In 2020, she released ‘Milagros’, a series of one-of-a-kind pendants that symbolize the vibrant, powerful stories of the people and places she loves so much.
